Justine is a clinical psychologist with a keen interest in the issues that face women and men in relationships and in modern life. Justine understands that coming to therapy can be a vulnerable time and how important it is to find a safe, non-judgemental place that makes it possible to explore and develop insight.
While Justine’s approach to therapy is grounded in attachment theory and psychodynamic therapy, she is adept at assessing the problems people bring to therapy and working with people to develop an approach that both addresses the problems and feels comfortable
She has an integrative and creative approach to therapy, applying evidence-based psychodynamic therapies to inform and add a deeper level of understanding to problems, as well as applying evidence-based strategic therapies such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and mindfulness based approaches to her work where appropriate. She provides a warm and sincere approach, working closely with clients in order to provide insight and skills for self-development and psychological growth.
Justine has had over 20 years of therapeutic experience and has worked in many different settings, from adult psychiatry to community organisations to postnatal clinics. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Macquarie University. She is registered as a Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
